The Neighborhood
We love our location! Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, yet only a block from a Metro station with DC at your fingertips. Our street doubles as part of the regional bike running trail network known as the Washington & Old Dominion trail. We are steps from the newest playground in Arlington. There are local restaurants just down the street that we like to get takeout from (or sit down at, pre-covid): Yayla Bistro (Turkish), and Cote d’Or (French) for special occasions. You can also walk to South Block, a coffee smoothie shop that is a local DC chain.
In a short 5-minute drive (or 20 minute walk on a nice day), you find yourself in Westover, a beautiful local shopping area in Arlington. Recommend Lost Dog Caf or The Italian Store, as well as the Westover Market for necessities and an extensive beer selection. If you find yourself in need of just about anything you can probably find it at Ayer’s Hardware.
In the opposite direction, you are a similar 5-minute drive or 20 minute walk to Falls Church, known as “The Little City” and it has a great community feel. On your way there (walking), stop by Caf Kindred for a coffee or brunch. There is a Saturday morning farmer’s market at the town community center. Dine with the locals at Dogwood Tavern or Claire and Don’s Beach Shack, and catch live music at the State Theater next door. Maneki Neko is a great spot for sushi, right on the main street (Broad St Rt 7), and Northside Social is another option for a caffeinated drink and brunch.
Of course, all of these attractions are a short walk or drive from the apartment. A short drive or metro ride puts you right in the center of all the DC area has to offer.

East Falls Church Metro subway station is only a block away from there it is a 24-minute ride (no transfers!) to the Smithsonian stop (National Mall, museums).
