The Neighborhood
Takoma, not to be confused with neighboring Takoma Park in Maryland, is a community in Northwest Washington that abuts the DC border. Despite sharing a name with its neighbor, the D.C. side has a rich history all its own. Takoma feels like a small town within a big city, and residents are proud of its broad-mindedness.
Residents of the area love the accessibility of the library, Rec center, pool and playground. But they also appreciate Takoma’s neighborliness.
